South West Fun Day

Feeling hot hot hot in Bournemouth! 

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary was so much fun at the Treehouse in Bournemouth. We were delighted to welcome 20 AAC users and a total of 58 attendees to our get together on one of the hottest days of the year!  

While some were attending their first ever 1Voice event, Role models Beth, Helen and Toby have been involved for over 20 years. Their welcoming speeches were a great reminder of the importance and impact of 1Voice events in building friendships, confidence and ideas for the future. 

A brilliant workshop from Dave Young (The Shouting Mute) and Mike Whitlock allowed people to try out accessible music tech including Soundbeams, odd balls and thumbjam.

Four fantastic local volunteers helped supported Becky, Jo and Alison enabling plenty of fun activities to be on offer. Crafts, switch toys, water play, Sensory room and soft play were some of the highlights.

Thanks to the wonderful families, AAC users and PAs who came along and helped us celebrate our 25th anniversary!
