Registration is now open for our National Residential Weekend 2026

You are invited to join us for our circus-themed weekend.

When: 4pm Friday 21 August to 1pm Sunday 23 August

Where: Treloar College, in Alton, Hampshire, GU34 4GL

The venue is a specialist centre for physically disabled children and young people, making the weekend accessible for all.

There will be activities for all levels of communication throughout the weekend.

This event is for AAC users who are under 18, in a change to recent national weekends.  This is to allow us to be better able to support those attending.

AAC users over the age of 18 may be interested in joining us for our first adults only national weekend in Blackpool on 29th May to 1 June. You can find out more here.

Booking Process 

You are encouraged to book as soon as possible as places are strictly limited to ensure that we can offer a high quality of support for those attending.  

Booking opens on 25 January. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and every attempt will be made to offer you suitable accommodation based on your needs. Complete the booking registration form. Booking closes at 12pm on Monday 23 February.  

If all places are filled, you will be put on a waiting list. We anticipate that demand for the event will be high and unfortunately, we may not be able to offer places to everyone this time around.  

Cost  

Prices are heavily subsidised. The trustees work hard to secure funding for the event. We are keen to ensure that no one is excluded from the event due to cost. We encourage you to get in touch to find out how we may be able to help you attend the event. All conversations will remain confidential. 

 Full Residential Weekend 

(includes two nights’ accommodation, meals, refreshments and activities) 

  • £250 Attendees (AAC Users / parents / siblings) 

  • £150 PAs / Carers

How to Book 

  • You will receive an email to confirm receipt of your registration within 72 hours. Please check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive.  

  • Subject to availability, you will be allocated a place(s). 

  • Places will be confirmed by 2nd March at the latest 

  • You will be emailed an invoice. 

  • Places will be secured upon receipt of payment in full. Please get in touch at events@1voice.info if you would like to pay by instalments.
