Merry Christmas from all at 1Voice

We wish all our members and supporters a wonderful Christmas.

We were delighted to welcome a fantastic mix of existing members and new families to our Festive Get Together at Keynsham Library community space on Saturday 13th December.  

Young children at the very start of their journey, whose families were keen to find out more about getting started with AAC, and more confident AAC users with established communication systems came along for Christmas-themed fun. 

Our game of festive bingo was won by Finn.  We enjoyed making and sharing some funny festive videos, watching them on the big screen together. Ian rocked around the tree, Ettie did a Macareindeer with Lynda, Buzz bombed down a snowy mountain on a sledge, and Lilly, Jenson and Oliver performed an amazing elf dance!  

We shared some hilarious/ awful Christmas jokes, did Christmas crafts and some people explored the Tickle Tunnel, switch toys and games. 

Enormous thanks to our incredible volunteers, Abigail, Lin, Sharon and Kizzy who came along to make everything possible. The resources they brought to share with families were a fantastic bonus. Huge thank you also to one of our SW parents, Sydney and Glenn, who found the venue and provided brilliant resources for craft and photo activities. Their home-made 1Voice photo frame will become a fixture of future festive events!
