Becky Morris
Becky (they/she) is an NHS Speech and Language Therapist working in Dorset, working across specialist settings, mainstream schools, child development centres, and in early years to help those starting their AAC journey. Becky qualified in 2020 with a master's from City University of London then escaping to the seaside! Before starting her studies, Becky worked in specialist education and adult care, always having a passion for supporting those who needed AAC and now has 10 years of experience in the field.
Becky joined 1Voice as a volunteer in 2024 at the residential weekend and quickly got as involved as she could! For Becky the time spent as a communication partner instead of a clinician was really meaningful, and she is excited to find new ways to support the AAC users and their families in the UK.
When Becky's not banging on about AAC, which happens even when going for coffee with friends, Becky can be found playing dress up at nerdy conventions all over the UK, exploring castles, playing video and board games, or walking Lady the beagle on the beach. This year you might find Becky wedding planning, just to add more to their schedule!
