National Residential Weekend 2026

21-23 August, Treloar College, Hampshire

Our national residential weekend 2026 is open to AAC users of school age (under 18).

The venue, Treloar College, offers fully accessible accommodation, catering and event spaces allowing a large group, including multiple wheelchair users, to get together.

Its a great chance to meet the role models who present, run activities and support children and families throughout the weekend.

All meals are provided and, if informed, the kitchens can cater to dietary needs such as blended meals. The accommodation blocks also have access to microwaves and fridges for families to also bring and store their own supplies.

During the day, AAC users can join fun activities and workshops. These are supported by volunteers who can help in facilitating communication and access. We aim to recruit volunteers to support any families who request one, so that parents can attend a parents’ workshop.

On Saturday evening, there is entertainment for those who want it. People are also welcome to socialise informally, or rest and take time away from the activities whenever they wish.

This year’s theme is the Circus. Activities will include accessible circus skills.

Registration for the national weekend has now closed for both families, role models and volunteers.
