1Voice Lakes & Bay

1 Voice Lakes & Bay celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2026 and is the longest standing branch. It loosely covers North Lancashire and Cumbria, but welcomes anyone from anywhere.

“We welcome people using any form of AAC or none. People are also welcome to come if they are thinking about starting to use AAC or are at a very early stage in their journey.

We tend to meet about three times a year generally in school holidays. As we are based near the Lakes some of our activities are outdoor, weather permitting, but we also meet up in cafes and other places.

There is always time for a chat, to catch up with old friends and to get to know new ones. As you may have guessed we are very welcoming!”
