National Residential Weekend 2019

Date:

26/07/2019 - 16:00 to 28/07/2019 - 14:00

Location:

Treloar College, Holybourne, Alton GU34 4GL

UPDATE 26 March 2019: We are delighted with the response we have received to this year's event and are almost at maximum capacity for residential guests. We are currently allocating accommodation and will be issuing invoices to those who have been successful in securing a place. The registration link will remain open in case of additional capacity and any cancellations. Registrations will continue to be processed on a first come first served basis. A waiting list will be in operation where capacity is reached. Please note, there is no limit for day delegates.

We are looking forward, once again, to holding our national residential weekend at Treloar College. The 2018 event was our biggest to date with 120 people being involved throughout the weekend, including 27 AAC Users.

This year the theme of the weekend is Superheroes. There will be activities for all levels of communication throughout the weekend.

The event is open to residential stays as well as day delegates. As always we welcome new AAC users and their supporters as well as familiar faces. Our national weekend events cater for all ages and all members of the family, as well as assistants, speech and language therapists and other interested professionals.

The 2019 prices are detailed below and remain the same as the previous year. Prices are heavily subsidised for all attendees and we are delighted to be supported by BBC Children In Need.

The trustees are keen to ensure that no child is excluded from the event due to cost alone and there is a small number of more heavily subsidised places available, on a first come first served basis, for new families who otherwise would not be able to attend. Further information can be found in our Funding Policy which is attached at the bottom or alternatively contact Jo at events@1voice.info.

Whole weekend (Fri-Sun):
AAC Adult £ 100,  AAC Child £75,    PAs £ 75,  Siblings £75,   All other Adults £150

Please note children under the age of 5 are free and where a parent is acting as a PA for the weekend, the PA rate is payable. A parent is considered to be acting as a PA where they are supporting their child in the activities rather than attending the parents’ workshops which will run alongside the AAC user activities.

Saturday (9:30am - late evening- inc. lunch and dinner)
AAC Adult £40,  AAC Child £35,     PAs £ 35,    Siblings £ 35,     All other Adults  £45

Sunday (9:30am - 2pm inc. lunch)
AAC Adult £ 15,  AAC Child £10,   PAs £ 15,   Siblings £ 15, All other Adults  £20

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and some places will be reserved for families new to 1Voice.
